This piece is a multi-media, multi-layer composition that began with stamped ivy leaves on paper that was then mounted on board and completed in acrylic painting. The leaves are meant to represent humanity in a phototropic endeavor through the red, hot armature of our planet in this current climate crisis. Phototropism as the visual embodiment of positivity in growing towards the light, a literal LED light source that is the sun, eNcased by the architectural altar-ike frame of an image grouded in a spherical grid. This piece is meant to celebrate the beauty of Earth, its life, and its steadfastness even in the face of unimagineable change.
